When should equipment for working at height be checked?
In accordance with accepted standards, fall arrest equipment should be checked by an authorized person at least once at the beginning of each eight-hour shift during which it is used, to verify that it has not suffered any wear or damage that would require its decommissioning.

Moreover, such equipment must be checked annually by a competent person who has been certified for this specific task by his employer.
There are many external companies that can provide training or provide specialized certifiers for fall protection equipment inspection.
Documents from this check should be kept for two years.
